Ellyn Meisenbach was born and raised in Dickinson, N. Dak. She has lived in Mesa , Arizona for 20 years & has been painting for 13 years.

   Her expressionistic style comes from the depth of her being. With a Bachelor's degree in Nursing & a Master's in Counseling, Ellyn has her unique way of expressing feelings through color, shape, & design.

   Ellyn says that this is the process that I go through to create these masterpieces ~

   "I start creating my paintings by looking inside to see how I'm feeling. Then I look for a way to express that feeling on the canvas."

   "In the creation of the painting Transformation: I was able to see that all of my life up to that point I felt like I was weird & ugly. I was then able to find an image that depicted being weird & ugly. Next I found colors that fit these feelings & to complete the painting, I painted a self portrait of myself."
